Rate of Pay: $7.25-9

Skills / Experience: Prior guest service experience in a full-service restaurant preferred, but will train if needed. 

Job Overview: Responsible for greeting customers, controlling the flow of traffic and maintaining the front of the house. 


Job Description

  • Handle initial and final contact with all guests, must remain positive, professional and welcoming; and thank them as they leave 

  • Provide information and/or conversation while guests are waiting and/or being seated  

  • Accommodate guests with special requests and/or needs

  • Quote accurate wait times and maintain guest wait list

  • Direct guests to proper wait area

  • Coordinate orderly movement of guests within restaurant 

  • Knowledge of table numbers, seating floor plan and server assignments 

  • Knowledge of menu and features; including product availability to provide item suggestions and info about restaurant 

  • Maintain positive guest satisfaction and handling complaints or directing them to a manager 

  • Communicates effectively with all guests, co-workers, and management 

  • Maintains organization of welcome station and keeps supplies stocked

  • Notifies manager of low inventory

  • Maintains cleanliness around the front of the building and restrooms (includes lobby, doors, walkways, and parking lot); keeps property clean and free of litter at all times 

  • Monitor and restock bathroom supplies 

  • Performs all duties and tasks as assigned and moved with a sense of urgency 

  • Understands and utilizes all safety and sanitation practices 

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures on company as established
