Rate of Pay: $8-15

Skills / Experience: Prior experience as a prep/line cook in a full-service, high-volume restaurant preferred, but will train if needed.

Job Overview: Responsible for the preparation and/or cooking of the food and follows company guidelines.

Job Description

  • Ensures all materials and supplies are available 

  • Sets up stations according to company guidelines

  • Prepares all food according to company recipes and plating standards 

  • Coordinates food order to ensure delivery to each table in timely and efficient manner

  • Executes designated prep and/or line stations independently 

  • Preps food according to company standards 

  • Meets guest special requests while upholding company standards

  • Maintains a clean appearance and work station and assists in overall kitchen cleanliness including cleaning all equipment, walls, and floors at the end of each shift

  • Maintains safety standards while using knives, torches, slicers, and other food prep equipment  

  • Restocks and/or breaks down work station, as needed, at the end of each shift as directed 

  • Cross trains on all line, prep, and dish stations and assists all team members as needed to meet guest satisfaction and maintain company standards 

  • Maintains high-level of knowledge regarding company products, catering, special events, etc.

  • Notifies manager of low inventory

  • Performs all duties and tasks as assigned and moves with a sense of urgency 

  • Assist with cooler cleanliness, product rotation, and ensure stock is put away properly upon delivery to restaurant

  • Assist management in training new team members within your department 

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures on company as established
